The ABG5 will be held from 24 September to 3 October on local beaches, featuring 14 kinds of sports with 172 events. It will attract 2,620 athletes from 45 countries and territories worldwide.
4 major competition venues: the East Sea Park, the My Khe beach, the Son Thuy beach and the Phuong Trang beach in Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra districts. The East Sea Park will host football, bodybuilding, basketball 3×3, muay Thai, Vietnamese traditional martial arts, shuttlecock, wrestling, sambo, jujitsu, kurash, vovinam, pencak silat, marathon swimming, water polo, kabaddi and rowing. Volleyball, handball and sepak takraw will be held at My Khe Beach, whilst woodball and petanque will be at the intersection of Pham Van Dong and Vo Nguyen Giap streets, with athletics at the Son Thuy bathing area.
A wide range of interesting cultural activities will be held in Da Nang between 24 September and 5 October to coincide with the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5). The intention is to advertise the city’s image to domestic and foreign tourists. (More Details)
